Choosing gauge and length

Wider bore moves thicker gel; longer length covers more area from one entry point. 22G x 50mm — widest bore (this one). 23G x 50mm and 25G x 50mm at the same length. 25G x 40mm and 27G x 30mm are shorter, for smaller areas. 27G x 50mm is the finest at full length.

A blunt cannula cannot pierce skin. Make the entry with a sharp needle one gauge wider — typically a 25G or 23G MicroLance. Check whether your box includes incision needles before ordering.
